This Privacy Policy explains how the Your News Headlines mobile app (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app.
1) What we collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to deliver push notifications:
- FCM token (Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token): used to send push notifications to your device.
- Optional device identifier (e.g. a random ID generated by the app): used only to manage notification delivery (for example, deduplicating registrations).
- Optional user identifier: only if you provide one, used only to associate notification delivery with that identifier.
We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information.
2) How we use information
We use notification identifiers only to:
- Deliver push notifications you opt into
- Operate, maintain, and secure the notification service (e.g., diagnose delivery issues and prevent abuse)
3) Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your information.
To deliver notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google), which processes the FCM token to route notifications to your device.
4) Retention
We keep notification identifiers only as long as needed for notification delivery. We may remove inactive identifiers periodically.
5) Your choices
- You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- You can request deletion of your notification identifiers by contacting [email protected].
6) Children’s privacy
This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7) Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
